Growing our Collection
We add around 5,000 books a year and maintain print and/or online subscriptions to 450 journals and society publications. We make academic eBooks available via our catalogue and have further fiction and non-fiction eBooks available through Overdrive/Libby. All online resources are available for members to use from anywhere – within the Library or at home.
Our subject-based team of Acquisitions & Discovery Librarians select new content, and members can contribute their suggestions for the collection too: about 20% of our additions each year come from members’ suggestions. We also welcome donations, but as we need to manage our physical space, these must be in line with our donations policy.
All books, eBooks and eResources are available to all members including Remote members, with print books available to borrow through our postal loan service.
