An Outstanding Collection: The Library at Wormsley

Enjoy a librarian-led tour of the Library at Wormsley, home to one of the world’s finest private collections of books and manuscripts.

Sir Paul Getty spent 25 years assembling this outstanding collection and commissioned the castellated Library when he moved to Wormsley in 1985.

Highlights include the first edition of Caxton’s Canterbury Tales, Anne Boleyn’s Psalter, the Shakespeare First Folio, illuminated manuscripts from the 12th-15th centuries, important early Bibles and exceptional modern bindings.
