Yoga for Writing (In person)

Stretch both body and mind in the early morning quiet of The London Library Reading Room with  Stella Duffy, qualified yoga instructor and award-winning writer of 17 novels, over 70 short stories and 14 plays.

For many years Stella has found that her own yoga practice supports her writing and in 2019 she trained in yoga teaching to offer yoga-for-writing to writers and will-be writers. Gentle yoga sequences flowing into writing exercises allow for a different approach to writing, making the workshop ideal for anyone feeling a bit stuck, unsure, or wanting a (gentle) nudge to get on and write. No experience necessary in either yoga or writing.

Wear something that is comfortable to move in, please bring pen and paper for writing and your own yoga mat, if possible - let us know if you need us to provide a mat for you.

Stella Duffy leads monthly yoga for writing workshops online and in person at Level Six in Peckham and is bringing a taster of those longer workshops to The London Library.

N.B. This event will take place in person at The London Library with limited capacity and in alignment with up-to-date government COVID recommendations. Doors open at 7.25am for a 7.30am start.
