About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Development Officer to support the management and delivery of our Venue Hire programme; undertake prospect research and prospect pipeline management to support major and regular giving and campaign fundraising; oversee and support the delivery of the annual Library Fund appeal; and, provide support for Trusts and Foundations fundraising, including drafting approaches and applications.

Reporting to the Senior Fundraising Operations Manager, you will join the small and busy Development department and be responsible for operational administration, diary management, promotion and support of events and appeals, fundraising data, research, and budget. You will play a central part in making the team as efficient as possible ensuring fundraising opportunities are increased and maximised.

About you

For this role you must have extensive administrative experience and have worked in a fundraising team for a charity or arts organisation. You will have good GCSE grades in Maths and English (Grade A-C) or equivalent and be familiar with using CRM systems and other databases. You will also possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills as well as an eye for detail. Important too, will be the ability to learn new systems quickly and work well as part of a collaborative team. Experience of using specialist fundraising/membership software and prospect research would be an advantage.
