Considering joining? 

A Prospective Member Tour is an opportunity to explore the Library and discover the benefits of membership before joining.

Led by a member of our experienced team, these informal 15-minute tours introduce the Library’s main spaces, including reading rooms, study areas and the atmospheric stacks.  

Tours can also be tailored to highlight areas of the collection most relevant to your interests, whether you are reading, researching, writing or studying.

Slots run on weekdays and some early evenings. New appointments are released regularly - if you don't see a time that suits, check back in a few days.

All bookings are made online; simply choose an available slot and complete the short booking form below.

Before you arrive

Accessibility 

Step-free entry is available via Mason's Yard and lifts to most tour areas. Please let us know any requirements when you book.

Guests

Each booking is for one person only. Bringing guests to the tour is not permitted.

Please arrive five minutes early; late arrivals may need to be rescheduled
