Digital Marketing and Communications Manager [ended]
Salary: c£32,000 - £35,000 (incl LW) depending on experience, plus benefits
We are seeking applicants for the newly-created role of Digital Marketing and Communications Manager at The London Library - one of the UK’s most important literary organisations and the largest independent lending library in the world.
The right candidate will join an energetic team playing a key role in delivering on our ambitious plans for membership and audience growth as part of the Library’s wider vision to play a more active role in inspiring, supporting and sharing creativity of all kinds.
Founded in 1841 and with a collection of over one million books and periodicals, the Library has long been an essential resource for writers, scholars, students and the intellectually curious. Past members have ranged from Charles Dickens and George Eliot to Virginia Woolf and T S Eliot; and amongst its 6,500 members today are leading writers, scholars and researchers. We receive no public funding and are entirely self-financing, relying on membership and philanthropic support.
Reporting to the Head of Communications - and working closely as part of the new Membership Department - the Digital Marketing and Communications Manager will play a key role in devising and implementing creative and effective marketing campaigns, as well as supporting the delivery of targeted, engaging member and non-member communications.
You will be confident in your approach and have experience across all aspects of the marketing mix, with significant knowledge of digital marketing channels and the ability to review the effectiveness of marketing and communications activity. A creative flair and eye for detail, ideally gained within a membership, arts or cultural organisation, is highly desirable. Applicants must also be able to demonstrate excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and a keen commitment to planning and delivering to target.
Please download the Candidate Information Pack for further information and how to apply. Applicants are also requested to complete an Equal Opportunities Monitoring form.
CLOSING DATE: Sunday 20 May 2018 (by midnight)
INTERVIEWS: week beginning Monday 28 May
The Library welcomes applications from all sections of the community. All applicants will be considered on the basis of their merits and abilities for the post. Please note we are unable to consider candidates without a current right to work in the UK.
