- Open access to one million books on 15 miles of bookshelves
- Borrowing of (at least) ten volumes at a time, for as long as you need them (or until requested by another member)
- Use of the Reading Rooms
- Advance ordering of books for collection or posting
- Detailed reference enquiries and research assistance
