Members can search the online Library catalogue and access The Electronic Library remotely, 24/7, and use an ever expanding range of databases and online reference works, as well as over 150 electronic journal titles.
To log into electronic library resources remotely members must enter their PIN and their membership number or barcode number from the reverse side of the membership card.
The London Library's Online Catalogue currently contains details of all books and periodicals acquired since 1950, with earlier material being added daily as part of the Retrospective Cataloguing Project. Books may be requested via the online catalogue for next day collection.
The Electronic Library includes a growing range of major databases and online reference work, over 200 electronic journal titles and access to JSTOR. Access to the Electronic Library is freely available to members both inside and outside the Library, via the website. A Wi-Fi internet-access service is provided in the North Bay of the Reading Room. This service enables members and reference-ticket holders who have a laptop with wireless capability to access the internet from their own computers. There is no charge for the service.
