Library catalogues
Many libraries' catalogues are now searchable over the internet. Below is a small selection of some of the most useful ones.

Indexes
The following sites give information about published articles and theses completed in British universities.
- British Humanities Index: an index to articles that have appeared in selected journals and newspapers.
- Index to Theses: an online version of Index to theses accepted for higher degrees in the universities of Great Britain and Ireland, covering the years 1970-1999.
- Historical Research for Higher Degrees in the UK: an online version of the Institute of Historical Research's publication, covering the years 1995-1998.
- TOCS-IN (Tables of Contents of Journals of interest to classicists): tables of content of 160 journals and Festschriften searchable by keyword.
Periodicals
