MEMBERS, PAST AND PRESENT

The Library currently serves approaching 8,000 personal members, together with over 200 institutional members, including educational, cultural, arts and media organisations and a number of public library authorities, who rely on the collections to supplement their own holdings.

Over successive generations, the Library's membership has included many of the most important writers, thinkers and opinion-formers of the day, alongside the widest range of general readers with a keen interest in literature and learning.

Membership of the London Library is open to all.
